Thursday is the traditional hiking day at Mont Royal Summer Camp.
This year we have created a tour that will combine a hiking tour through the Moselle valley with a river cruise along Europes's steepest vinyard.
To offer more opportunities than in the last year, we have broken down the tour in various legs, the participants can join or leave at different points.
10:00 – 12:00: Hiking Tour: Mont Royal – Reil
We will start our tour right after practice and walk through the remains of Mont royal fortress, through forrests and vinyards to Traben-trarbach's neighbour village Reil.

12:30 – 13:30: Hiking Tour: Reil – Burg Arras
A beautiful hike through the Alfbachtal that finishes with the light ascent to Burg Arras. From the medieval castle you have beautiful views into th Moselle valley. here we will have the opportunity for some refreshment on the castle#s summer terrace.

People who want to join us in Reil only should take the train at 12:01 from Traben-Trarbach.
14:45 – 15:15: Hiking Tour: Burg Arras – Alf
From Burg Arras it is only a short walk downhill into the romantic village of Alf. Here participants will have the chance to relax, to eat, or to do a bit of sightseeing.

People who want to jleave early can take a ferry from Alf to Bullay. From there are trains every hour to Traben-Trarbach.
16:20 – 17:05: River Cruise: Alf – Ediger-Eller
This 45 minutes long boat trip will lead us through one of the most beautiful parts of the Moselle valley. We will pass the ruin of Kloster Steuben and the Bremmer calmont, Europe's steppest vinyard.
Duration: 45 minutes
People who want to leave early can take a ferry from Alf to Bullay. From there are trains every hour to Traben-Trarbach.
People who want to join us for the boat trip only should take the train at 15:01 from Traben-Trarbach to Bullay. In Bullay they have to take the ferry crossing to Moselle to Alf.
17:45 – 18:56: Bus/Train Ride: Ediger-Eller – Traben-Trarbach
To go back to the camp, we will board the bus to Bullay and switch there to the train to Traben-trarbach. Unfortunately we will have half an hour to kill at Bullay station. Once we have arrived in Traben, it's up to every single person to find the easiest/most comfortable way uphill to the camp.
